Why "Meticulous"
Dan named the company, and the name is the philosophy. The average person swims through thousands of pieces of media a day. Almost all of it washes past. The difference between work that cuts through and work that disappears is detail: the extra light nobody asked for, the second take after the good one, the cut that lands a half second earlier. Let one detail slip and the work becomes forgettable. Obsess over all of them and people feel it, even if they cannot say why.
Meticulous Image was founded in 2019 in Southlake, Texas. The company has produced on location around the world, for brands from Disney and GM to GRAITEC and Sibanye-Stillwater. Along the way: a 40 foot LED wall virtual production event for Bioworld Merchandising, a global sustainability campaign filmed for Sibanye-Stillwater, and client relationships that have run six years and counting.
Dan Maitland
Dan trained at the Zaki Gordon Institute and studied Cinema and Television at SMU, then spent nearly a decade in the Los Angeles film and television industry: music videos, Ralph Lauren fashion campaigns, feature films, and national commercials. Before founding Meticulous Image he was Director of Video Content at MultiView, producing for hundreds of technical B2B companies.
He is the eye of the operation. If the frame is beautiful, that is Dan. If the schedule held, that is also Dan.

Austin Hines
Austin built his career on both sides of the camera for brands like Marriott, Doritos, and GM. He directed the feature film Singularity Principle, released with worldwide distribution, and the documentary Brotherhood of Thunder.
His specialty is people. Engineers, technicians, and executives are not actors, and Austin never asks them to be. He gets them talking like themselves, on camera, which is harder than it sounds and more valuable than it looks.
