Cinematic technical storytelling

Oil and gas. Manufacturing floors. Heavy equipment. Lab science. Engineering software. Most production companies avoid this work because they do not speak the language. We built our company on it. We know the safety culture, we respect the maintenance window, and we make machines look like they belong on a movie screen.

This is not tourist filmmaking. Our crews hold their own in safety orientations, plan shots around live production schedules, and know the difference between footage that impresses a creative director and footage that convinces an operations executive. We have filmed active plants, working equipment, BSL-3 laboratories, and the software that runs them, for companies like CDE, Microbiologics, GRAITEC, and Sibanye-Stillwater. The result is proof your buyers can feel: technical work, shot with the respect it deserves, by people who understand why it matters. From the first safety briefing to the final color pass, the work is built to earn the trust of the people who run the floor.

Institutional knowledge capture

Your best people carry decades of process knowledge that exists nowhere else. When they retire, it leaves with them. We produce the structured, professional media record of how your company actually works: for onboarding, for training, and for the AI systems your business is starting to run on.

Written manuals go stale the day they print, and shadowing does not scale past the person being shadowed. Video captures what documents cannot: the environment, the sequence, the judgment calls, and the why behind every step. We film your experts on the active floor, then deliver modular video SOPs and clean, time-stamped transcripts structured for human training and internal AI ingestion alike. We capture and organize the record; your technology team decides what learns from it. The archive keeps working long after the expertise walks out the door. It starts with a conversation about where your critical knowledge lives, and it scales from a single process to an entire facility.

How knowledge capture works

Kickoff. Production. Partnership.

Creative Kickoff

Serious projects start with a paid Creative Kickoff, $2,500 to $5,000, credited toward your project. Strategy, creative development, and a concrete production plan before a camera ever rolls. No free spec work, no guessing.

Production

A crew that has shot in working plants, active labs, and live events. Cinema cameras, real lighting, and a schedule your operations team will actually approve. Project minimum is $15,000.

Partnership

Most clients stay. Retainer programs keep the content library growing quarter after quarter, so one shoot never has to carry the whole year.

Built by two people who met on set

Dan Maitland spent close to a decade in the Los Angeles film and television industry before founding Meticulous Image. Austin Hines has worked both sides of the camera for brands like Marriott, Doritos, and GM, and directed a feature with worldwide distribution.

They met on a sunscreen commercial in 2018. The company exists because that shoot worked.
