A Night Under The Stars - Recap
The Challenge
Black Diamond Advisory is a OneStream Diamond Partner and one of the largest OneStream consultancies in the world. Their buyers are enterprise finance leaders who purchase on trust, and their most concentrated audience assembles once a year at Splash, the OneStream user conference. The challenge: turn days of conference presence into content with substance, and put BDA's experts and clients on camera sounding like themselves rather than like a brochure. Enterprise finance transformation is an invisible product. The proof lives in conversations between practitioners and the clients who lived the projects, which is exactly what conventional booth video never captures.
The Production Approach
We built a mobile podcast studio into their conference presence and produced a full episode series on the floor at Splash, with BDA clients from Generac, Richardson International, and OceanaGold talking through real finance transformations. Around the podcast we shot booth films, event recaps like A Night Under the Stars, and culture pieces, including a charity guitar build race and Friends in Low Places, a short film about what actually happens when consultants and clients share a dinner table. Episodes were produced start to finish on site: set, lighting, multicam capture, and audio in conference conditions, cut and delivered while the conversations were still current.
The Impact
The podcast gives BDA a running body of client proof that outlives each conference, the booth and recap films carry their event investment through the year, and the culture films show prospects the human side of a firm that lives in enterprise finance. It is trust-building content for a trust business. And the format travels: the same studio setup returns each year, so the series grows without reinventing the production. Each episode also doubles as standalone material for social feeds and sales follow-up conversations.
